About Meadow River Guides & Gear
Meadow River Guides & Gear was created to help people experience the incredible outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the Meadow River region and beyond. Based in Rainelle, West Virginia, our mission is simple: make it easier for locals and visitors to explore the trails, rivers, and landscapes that make this part of Appalachia special. From shuttle service along the Meadow River Rail Trail to bicycle rentals and outdoor trip planning, we provide the support and logistics that allow you to focus on the adventure.
Built Around the Growth of Outdoor Recreation
Our work began through involvement in the planning and development of the Meadow River Rail Trail and broader outdoor recreation initiatives throughout the Meadow River region.
As those efforts progressed, one thing became clear: the area needed a service dedicated to helping people access and navigate these outdoor opportunities.
Meadow River Guides & Gear was created to fill that gap — offering transportation, equipment rentals, and connections to outdoor experiences throughout Southern West Virginia.
